Beach Cleanup by SLTC Green Army-For ‘The Earth is a Place Worth Fighting for’ was carried out at the Modara Crow Island Beach Park on the 8 July with the help of SLTC Green Army, in celebration of the World Oceans Day. Bags of plastic, glass and other debris that were strewn about the beach were collected and disposed of along with numerous other garbage that was washed ashore. Several onlookers also joined the exercise and were presented with tree samplings.
