The debating team of St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy clinched the unbeaten championship at the third ‘බුද්ධියේ අඬහැරය’, Inter-school debating competition organized by K/Nugawela Central College.
They beat Vidyartha College by 3 – 0 in quarter-finals and Trinity College by 5-0 in semi-finals.
St. Sylvester’s College knocked Kingswood College, Kandy by 5-0 at the finals preserving their victory.
Sylvestrian Sanka Daminda became the Best debater of the tournament for this year, winning the trophy for 3 years in a row.
