Following an age old tradition, the College takes a break from its regular activities on the second Friday of February each year to recognize the high achievers of the past year in both academics and co-curricular activities. This year it was on the 9th of February that the Upper School hosted the most important event on the College calendar, the Annual Prize Giving.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was no stranger to Kandy – Mr Maithri Gunaratne, the new Governor of the Central Province, was escorted to the Main Hall by the College Kandyan dance troupe, with a salute by the senior scouts. Mr Gunaratne and Mrs Gunaratne were welcomed and garlanded by Bhagya Ranasinghe 2018 Ryde Medalist, and the All-rounder of the Middle School.
